Sesame Donuts in Portland

Normally I will give them five stars for the donuts and service. The donuts are still great, by the service was bad! I order an espresso coffee and was giving plain drip coffee. As I explain to the woman THAT was not what I order. She told the guy who give me the coffee that I order plain coffee which was not the case. I took the coffee and my donuts and left! IF I had order plain coffee my rating above would have been Five Stars!

Great service. They have vegan and gluten free option. The place is nut-free. All around a good place to go

They are not open 24 hours. They close at 11pm and say they open at 4am. I have been there 3 times after 4am and they are not open. The person inside just stares like he doesn't see anyone. Then if you call they are rude. Never again will I waste a minute trying to give my business to you!

This place makes the best vanilla cream filled donut I've ever had. Good thing I don't live very close. I'd only eat donuts! All of the others are good too!

Generally nice people and really good donuts. It's the only place in Portland I can get a REAL vanilla cream donut. They have chocolate cream, as well. They also have mini versions of big things like apple fritters. I appreciate that. They also have some unique offerings. They're good quality, the dough is a little more on the solid/heavier side, as opposed to Annie's super light and fluffy take on things. I highly recommend Sesame.

Worth every calorie! Our favorite donut shop. The owner does some great dad jokes that make my day.

These are the best donuts in Portland and I think the owner is sweet, so that makes it even better. The Hwy 10 location is the best. The donuts are always fresh, they often have samples, and I love the recipes because they don’t shy away from sugar. Donuts are like mini cakes and I think they should have frosting. The marble bar is my favorite (maple bar with a chocolate drizzle), but I often pair it with a mini apple fritter (perfectly crunchy and with noticeable apple bits), the Portland cream (coffee flavored Boston cream), the Sid’s Special, or any of the filled donuts. They have rotating specialties, too, for the holidays. Clean, fresh, tasty.

Always good and fresh. They make amazing giant donuts for special occasions as well. Makes an awesome birthday cake!

Excellent traditional donut shop

Stopped here twice while on vacation and happened upon the Buttermilk Bar by accident. It was a very happy accident. You can taste the butter and decadence in every bite. Would love to have one of these back home!

A great place to grab something sweet or a bagel anytime if the day. Before the pandemic, the inside and outside were a nice place to meet other locals or just sit down and enjoy the weather. The outdoor area gets good sun during the summer. With social distancing in place, the inside seating is closed but you can still sit outside. There’s a small grassy area next to the sidewalk if you want something else to sit on. The donuts are great, reminds me of the donut shops back in Chicago. It’s not a trendy “designer” donut place like voodoo... it’s like Dunkin’ Donuts for Portland! The staff are really friendly and are nice to chat with. Stop in and say hi and grab the mangers special!

Sesame Donuts makes the best donuts! They’re dense, moist, and delicious. The lemon poppyseed donut is my favorite, but every donut I’ve had there is bomb! We made a special order to get a bunch of donuts, then made them into our wedding cake. It was a huge hit.

So glad to be back in Oregon where I can go to this iconic doughnut shop. Others fade away but these guy survive. Support local.

I have been going to this donut place since I was little. They're sooo good!

Not some trendy hipster donut disaster. This is the real deal - classic donuts, good hot coffee, friendly staff, and a long standing commitment to the kids and families in their community. Absolutely must get the Apple Cider donut and the pumpkin spice donut. The namesake sesame donut is also a delicious treat and something you should try from the family’s own recipe!

24/7 quality donut and coffee shop! Definitely preferred to the quality of Heavenly Donuts (sorry y'all). They keep the coffee fresh and hot at ALL hours. Comparable baking quality to Blue Star without the bougie flavors and price. Kolache and bagels too. (Will try those next visit)

I love sesame donuts for a reason, because you could get donuts any time of the night. They were not even open on National Donut Day.

Absolutely some of the best donuts in town! Typically open 24-hours (closing at 10pm due covid-19 regulations), you can satisfy your donut cravings anytime. Everything is good!

I don't know what happened, new management or owners. Wife visited store 1/17/2020,worst donuts ever. Bear Claw was bland no filling,Old Fashion was oily,Twist was heavy and dense.

Thought it was just another donut shop...until I tried the donuts. ..I just got freaken mind blown! Also very friendly service.

I’m new to the area, and I’ve been enjoying the Sesame Donuts in Tigard (too often according to my wife). I stopped in at this location, and I was greeted and treated in the same friendly manner I was used to. Lina was a real delight, and the donuts were too!

This is one of the places you go when you want real, good donuts that taste good. I'm particular find if their namesake, the sesame donut.

This is a wonderful place to come for great service, and a place to meet with others for great food. The people here are so nice. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to eat, and relax with others.
